The reactions vary. A few readers claim Janet Jackson's new haircut makes her look like the predator, some believe it ages her, others think it's fresh and gorgeous.
Now that I've seen it done up on the red carpet of the UK premiere of 'Why Did I Get Married Too?', I agree with the latter. She looks beautiful!
I haven't paid enough attention to how stunning Janet's facial features are. The cut frames her face perfectly, and she's never looked prettier if you ask me. Yes, she's aged but in the most graceful, refined way. And she'll always have that little sister charm, radiant glow and Jackson family magic no matter her age.

Janet disclosed that her cut is in preparation for her role in the upcoming movie 'For Coloured Girls.' The film adaptation of the Tony Award-nominated play for colored girls who have considered suicide when the rainbow is enuf will be directed by Tyler Perry and feature a Who's Who of Black Hollywood: Whoopi Goldberg, Phylicia Rashad, Kerry Washington, Mariah Carey, Loretta Devine, Kimberly Elise, Jurnee Smollett, Macy Gray and of course, Janet Jackson. Excited, yet?
I bet the highly-anticipated movie will deliver another arresting performance from Janet (I thought she was excellent in 'Why Did I Get Married Too?') and of course, the great Phylicia Rashad (If you've never seen Phylicia Rashad act in a play, you haven't lived. Her performances in A Raisin in the Sun, Gem of the Ocean AND Cat on a Hot Tin Roof all gave me chills.)
It's great to see Janet commit herself to developing her impressive acting talent, even shedding hair for the cause.
What do you guys think of Janet's "styled" cut? Are you a believer now? Are you excited to see 'For Colored Girls,' which begins filming in June?
Kisses,
